Ellis George LLP obtained a $1.43 million verdict on behalf of Netbula LLC against Chordiant Software Inc. in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Chordiant Software Inc. was found liable for copyright infringement with respect to its use of software created and owned by Netbula LLC. The jury rejected Chordiant’s assertion that it had a license to use the software, and awarded Netbula actual damages and Chordiant’s profits attributable to the infringement.
