Describing the proceeding as a “bitter damages trial,” the article noted that the jury handed Costco a total bill of $13.75 million due to its willful infringement of Tiffany’s rights. The amount of the judgment is likely to increase significantly after the trial based on the statutorily mandated trebling of damages and award of attorney’s fees.
