Serli Polatoglu is a Partner at Ellis George LLP and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation matters. She has represented clients in the cosmetics, energy, technology, real estate, and banking/finance industries in various complex commercial litigation disputes, including trade secret, breach of contract, securities, consumer protection and intellectual property matters.
Ms. Polatoglu received her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where she served as an articles editor for both the UCLA Law Review and the Journal of Law and Technology. In law school, Ms. Polatoglu served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Sandra Segal Ikuta of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and as a Law Clerk for the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office, Central District of California. She was also a member of the UCLA Supreme Court Clinic and served as a Writing Advisor for the first-year Legal Research and Writing program. Additionally, Ms. Polatoglu was an executive officer of the UCLA Mock Trial Association and advanced in several nationwide mock trial competitions.
Ms. Polatoglu graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in English and a minor in Political Science. At UCLA, Ms. Polatoglu was Opinion Editor of the Daily Bruin and a JusticeCorps volunteer.
Ms. Polatoglu is admitted to practice in California.
