Laura Chun is an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Ellis George LLP. Her practice focuses on white collar defense, government investigations, and a variety of civil litigation matters.
Ms. Chun graduated magna cum laude from University of California, Irvine School of Law. At UCI Law, she received the Faculty Award (highest grade in the course), in Technology, Law, and the Public Interest, and the Dean’s Award (second highest grade in the course) in Legal Profession. Further, Ms. Chun served as a Research Fellow, a position given to the top five students in legal writing, and helped first year law students with their legal writing and analysis.
While in law school, Ms. Chun spent a year working in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California on fraud, drug trafficking, and organized crime cases. She helped on a variety of matters including trials, prosecution memoranda, and appeal briefs.
Ms. Chun graduated summa cum laude from Occidental College. Her history thesis earned her Departmental Honors and Distinction. As a collegiant swimmer, Ms. Chun was a multi-year, swim team captain. She held several school records and was named Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team from 2015 to 2019. When Ms. Chun is not practicing the law, she swims and competes in Olympic weightlifting.
